Bobbi's White Bean Kombucha Hummus

YIELD: approx. 1 1/2 cups or 12 oz.

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 can drained white beans

Juice and zest of 1/2 to 1 lemon

2-3 smashed garlic cloves

3-4 Tbsp olive or avocado oil

3-4 Tbsp tahini

1/4 c - 1/3 c non-fruity kombucha

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Cannabis Tincture or Oil (optional, to add CBD and/or THC)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until desired consistency is reached. You may adjust seasonings and lemon juice to your taste.

 

To calculate dosage, divide your total number of milligrams by total number of servings.

 

EXAMPLE:

200mg CBD/ 6 servings (2 oz per serving) = 33.33 mg CBD per serving.

 

Serve with your favorite crackers and vegetables or as a spread on sandwiches. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

CHEF'S NOTES:

White beans are used in this recipe since they tend to be gentler on the gut than chick-peas. You may substitute chick-peas if you'd prefer. 

 

The addition of kombucha provides probiotics and tartness. You may use water instead, if preferred. <3
